UFO & Crop Circles An article from Pierre Beake At the beginning. I went in England in the beginning of October, 2003 to verify the hypothesis of a possible connection Pass of Vence / Crop circle. The result was not waiting, an exceptional video was shot on the spot. What was the percentage of chance by returning me in England in the region of the crop circle, that there is an extraordinary event, and that I am there exactly the witness? I answer you sincerely: zero! I wanted to verify on the spot numerous and disturbing resemblances which could exist between the Pass of Vence and crop circle of the South of England. I had no idea of what I was going to discover. I doubtless expected new surprised photos, but contrary to all expectations, the answer which was given to me exceeded all my expectations. This answer remains at the moment to interpret. A few days before leaving for Wiltshire, I decided to buy a camcorder with the nightshot function.
Surprised! In a field situated in 1 km of the village, we discover a magnificent crop circle dating August 2003. Impossible to describe what we feel at this precise moment. Immediately, I begin to film and I take some photos. A little farther, we find another crop circle (dating the summer, 2003), unless 200 meters of center of the village. The second day was dedicated to Stonehenge and in the hill of Silbury. “The suspended stones " in Saxon language, Stonehenge, raises itself in the plain of Salisbury: Blocks 5 meters in height and some 25 tons each surmounted horizontally by the other blocks marrying the curvature of a circle. For years, the most beautiful crop circles are all around discovered or near these three prehistoric sites, Stonhenge, Avebury and Silbury hill. Stonehenge stay even today one of the most beautiful enigma of the history.
Not far from there raises itself Silbury Hill, the highest artificial hill of Europe, 40 m of top. Quite as Stonehenge, the mystery is left as regards the whys and wherefores by such a work. There also appear every summer beautiful crop circles.
The incredible comes true It is at the end of this second day, Friday, October 3rd, 2003 at 7:30 pm, that the phenomenon shows itself. We went with my wife to the village of Alton Barnes. We had to meet in the pub " Barge inn ", become over the years the grateful meeting place of all the passionate persons of crop circles. This evening there, the sky was exceptional. No moon, just a big cloud on the horizon. Arrived at the top of a small hill by a sinuous road, abruptly, I ask to Patricia to stop the car. We belong to Milk Hill, to 500 m only of the village of Alton Barnes. To the right, on the side of the hill, a white horse is engraved in the ground. They are many in the region. I seize my camcorder, situated on the back seat, and I notice that it is necessary to change the cassette. All this sets certain time. The car is always stopped. I start up my camcorder and ask Patricia, who is in the steering wheel, to drive whereas I film through the windscreen. Suddenly, three lights appear in front of us above the horizon. Their positions form one "oblique" during some seconds. Then the formation becomes an immense triangle with enormous lights which sparkle as garlands of a Christmas tree. Begin then a strange merry-go-round: every light is going to go out and to flare up again, this alternately. The gigantic UFO is going to be stuck, then it begins falling very slowly towards the ground. The observation will last 2mn30. Everything was filmed. At the end, after a timeof hesitation and bewilderment, we went to the Barge inn.
Being informed to us with the persons living in this area, there is no airport in the region, only the wheatfields as far as the eye can see. Everything took place above fields where appear every summer the most beautiful pictograms. Once returned toFrance, we viewed the video with all the team of the “col de Vence.com ". Documents show impressive images of the object. The recording is very clear, and especially our comments during the observation are edifying. The UFO even seems to settle on the ground. However, it is difficult to establish this fact with certainty because of the distance. With Brice, one of the members of the team, after analyzing the images, we realized that appeared a black platform behind the powerful lights. The object was to be gigantic, because we considered that it was in approximately 3km of us. To note that during all the observation, no noise from the machine was perceived. I took many photos during this stay in England. However , no surprised photo is to be indicated. So, what to conclude? Is my observation the link for which I looked with the Pass of Vence? We decide to return to Wiltshire next summer, in 2004. It will be the beginning from the series of inquiries that is going to lead us to come back regularly in this region so singular...
summer 2004 Alton Barnes is a small village surrounded by wheat fields as far as the eye can see.
It is the central location of the most important crop circle manifestations. We went for a beer at the Barge Inn, meeting point of all crop circles fanatics.
The next day, Tuesday July 28th, I went back to an area close to Avebury where I had already made a picture of a crop circle in October 2003 and was quite surprised to notice that the crop circle was still visible.
I made another picture with a digital camera and compared it with the one from last year. No doubt: it was the same crop circle.
A standing nearby local gave me an explanation but not the solution: what I could see was the crop’s print. The farmer had ploughed his field, sowed and harvested his wheat. Though, the print was still visible: how could it be possible?

Same field in 2004 after two harvests! The track is still visible although the farmer has ploughed his field up to approx. 60 cm depth. No comment!
On that same evening, I invited the group to an evening vigil at the precise point where I had filmed these unusual lights at the top of Milk Hill. On our right hand side, one out of the numerous white horses cut in the chalk, made at unknown times by an unfamiliar people. Facing us: Alton Barnes Village, a huge wheat field named " East Field " and then Pewsey village.

From our location, we could see 3 pictogrammes: two had appeared one month ago (one of the two was the famous bee) and the third one was formed 24 hours before our arrival. We visited the crop circles during the day.
Once our pic-nic was over, a group of 8 canadian and american people greeted us and settled approx 20m away from our own group. We were right in the middle of the country, among fields and hills. The sun was starting to go down and people from all nationalities started to arrive, finding a place to watch the unexpected spectacle.
While watching this scenery vanish into the night in a heavy and unnatural silence, I started to wonder: what were we expecting? At that moment, we made a few surprise pictures.

Around 22:45, Brice and his girlfriend saw a light that seemed to be surfing far off above the fields. This white light stopped dead and went back in the opposite direction. It just looked like a funny car with white lights on each side.
The next day, we went back where we had stayed for our evening vigil. We noticed there was no road, nore any path where the light had been seen. But a huge crop had appeared during the observation. We hadn’t noticed anything!
After that event, things started to happen.
At 23:55, a ball suddenly appeared right in front of us above the skyline, followed by a second one and a third one. These steady lights, shining of a very pure white, went on and off while remaining at the same place. We saw approximately more than 60 lights within 15 minutes. Some of them remained on for 3 seconds, others for 40 seconds, even twice forming a perfect isoceles triangle.

This observation occured in complete silence.
We were lucky to film this spectacle with the 3 digital cameras we had.
At that very same time, we heard the others shouting: Canadians and Americans had seen other light balls in the opposite direction.
The ambiance was frenzied, the spectacle was occuring everywhere...
While wondering what we were waiting for earlier on, we never expected to witness such a spectacle.
At 12:15, everything stopped through a weird milky lightning: There was no storm though, and it was not a light coming out of a camera’s flash.
Conversations succeeded to excitement. We could not believe our eyes. My son Julien, aged 7 in 1994, witnessed a luminescent triangle above the Vence Pass and was now experiencing a similar situation 10 years after his first time.
It was the 3rd time in our life my wife and I would see this kind of manifestation.
This first visit in Wiltshire was a total success for Patrick, Xavier and Brice who also witnessed manifestations at the Vence Pass.
We were all puzzled.
The next day, we first rushed back to the crop that had appeared over the night and afterwards went to see the ones near Avebury.

Heart of a crop circle
On the evening of July 28th, we decided to proceed to a night vigil at the same location.
At 23:25, we were highly surprised to watch the phenomenon appear in a different direction. It was identical to the one of the previous day but only lasted 2 minutes.
We also took pictures.
The next day, we went back on site and watched the newly appeared crop. During the night, someone or something had added new series of circles, and this, right under our eyes...
We stayed 3 more nights at Milk Hill without witnessing any new UFO manifestation.
Upon the last day of our stay, a new crop had been formed: an eight branches star, nearby Silbury Hill.
During the night, some witnesses observed an illuminated UFO gliding above the field.
I made a picture of a hardly visible little luminescent object taking off from the field.
English people call this phenomenon "orbs of light", corresponding to little light apparitions during daytime. Both the origine and the nature of these phenomenons remain unknown.
Though, as these phenomenons are often chased by helicopters of the army, we decided to rent one to fly over these pictogrammes.
We soon realised the beauty and complexity of these formations.
While flying over Milk Hill, spot of our evening vigils, Xavier noticed that "our crop" had been modified a the third time with even more circles added to its original version.
We shared our observations with the pilote who explained to us that these lights were not related to any of the army’s manouvers and that they had been flying over this area for the past 15 years.
He was in contact with the army during the duration of the whole flight because this was a military zone.
The last day of our stay, alas !!!
We were to meet at the " Bridge Inn ", near Kennet Avon channel that is usually sailed up by many barges.
We met 3 english journalists who were amazed by the videos we had collected during our stay. They knew about the observations as they had already met many witnesses.
Still, according to them, we had experienced the 2 most exciting nights, UFO speaking, over the last year, and indeed we were the only ones owning such pictures.
How could we possibly not believe in crop circles, so perfect and complexe geometric figures that always are different and created over the night in so little time.
So many people watch over these fields and nobody ever sees anything.
What a mystery !!!
We left the area, promissing each other to come back during the next summer.
